Tonight is the opening of ‘The People of the Postcard’ exhibit. I could only enter 10 shots in the exhibition so I have loaded the remainder of the shots for you to have a look. These are a few portraits from a recent trip to China in September of last year. This was one amazing experience. I hope that you like the shots.
The exhibition is on display at the Hue Davis Gallery, Manuka Arts Centre, Canberra from the 16 Jan to 2 Feb.
All the best I hope that you have enjoyed the shots as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Oh Paul….I don’t think you have any idea just how talented you are. These are marvellous! Keeping them in black and white concentrates the eye on the actual subjects and doesn’t allow anything else to intrude or detract. I love them. Congratulations. I’ll make sure my niece and nephew see the exhibition in Canberra. 10pm and I’m smiling….thank you again 🙂
Thanks for your kind words Jenny. I really like the collection of shots as black and whites. It’s so different to what I usually do and I had the most enjoyable time do it. I hope that your niece and nephew enjoy the shots and I so happy to hear that the shots put a huge smile on your face. That’s the best compliment I can be paid.

Your photos of China are a feast for those of us who can’t be there! They are also beautifully detailed, with so many points of interest, and I love the black and white. I believe you have the beginnings of a “coffee-table book” here. Great stuff!!
Hi Elizabeth,
I hoped to capture a story of our travel and the people of china within the shots. I agree with you, I love the shots as black and whites. Great idea about the coffee table book…time to start planning!
