8 April 2014: This morning I was guided by the lights of Kings Avenue Bridge, The National Carillon and the foreshore as I paddled my way into the main basin in the hope of another stunning sunrise. Unfortunately the conditions didn’t allow that to happen, but luckily for me the ever happy ‘Dragons Abreast’ ladies were out on LBG and they added a huge splash of colour to an overcast morning. I just love their enthusiasm and fun, they are such a great site on the water.

Smooth paddling was the order of the morning.
Wild reflections
Initially I had the entire main basin to myself.
The sun tried its best to liven up the skies
The timing was perfect as the ladies added a huge splash of pink.
I just love their happiness, enthusiasm and jest. They are a great site on the water.
