2 OCT 2013: This morning I was chasing another stunning sunrise, but instead I was treated to a morning of mirrored reflections on Boambee Creek, Sawtell.

4.43am and I’m in search / hope that I would witness another stunner sunrise this morning.

I paddle out to the mouth of Boambee Creek and very quickly realised that there was a heavy band of cloud on the horizon.

5.09am: For once there are no magical pinks or mauves greeting me, but the reflections are still there. You just have to go looking for them. Plus it was a nice walk up the beach. I had it all to myself 🙂

After finishing my walk on the beach I began my paddle up Boambee creek with the in coming high tide.

The reflections were brilliant.

I was in a world of blue.

The crackled craze

I had super calm winds and mirrored waters for the entire trip…. love starting the day like this!

Paddling under the ‘Lego bridge’.

I was lucky enough to meet up with young Aidan. He was out there photographing the morning from his kayak. Excellent stuff, wish I started this early! (young KCM in the making)

The reflections were wild this morning. I seriously recommend you check this place out, it’s unreal!
