9 Nov 2013: Windy weather made for a turbulent paddle this morning but it also created wild skies in the process. Paddling on the lake in windy conditions can be quite treacherous as the wind swell recoils off the surrounds and can turn sections of the lake into a huge washing machine. Half the fun is staying upright, but also searching for the calm and protected areas.

Into the main basin we go and here we find protection from the squalling winds.

Even with windy and wild conditions, you can always find a calm spot to sit back ‘Chillax’ and watch the day begin.
