12 Dec 2013: I was in total cruise mode on LBG this morning as I paddled my way through the main basin enjoying the great reflections and the beginning of a new day. Initially I had the entire lake to myself but it wasn’t too long before I was saying hello to the ever happy dragonboaters or dodging the flying sculls and to top it all off I finished the morning chasing the Questacon balloon. Now that’s a very cool way to start the day!

Great photos thankyou. i was in Canberra looking out over LBG and spending time with the Dragon boat ladies. I’m now back home 4 hours drive from there so its great to see the photos. I looked out for you from the shore of LBG at 7am but you were nowhere to be seen, You must have been somewhere else on the lake or well gone by then, because it had been light for quite a while.

We must have just missed each other, I was on the water for 5am and I was chasing the Questacon Balloon at about 6.40am. I left the main basin shortly after that, what a shame, I would have loved to catch up and say hello.
