Flat out in Neutral

1 Feb 2014: This morning I drifted into a gorgeous golden sunrise with Emma Macdonald in ‘The Big Bopper’ my double Kayak on Lake Burley Griffin. There wasn’t any need for speed at all as the conditions were near perfect. The temperature was spot on and the winds were non existent, these combinations made for a very enjoyable experience watching the day begin. I think that our highest warp speed was a blistering 500 metres per hour and to top it all off we were treated to a pier side coffee delivery from from Remedy which is located at the Kingston foreshore. The company was fantastic and the sunrise was brilliant…what a perfect way to start the day.

5.29am: This is shaping up to be an excellent morning.

Then it was a leisurely paddle towards the main basin...but most importantly there were plenty of stops to snap a few photos.

Now Emma is calling up 'Remedy' at the Kingston Foreshore to see if they can drop off a few take away coffees at the Pier.

Meanwhile we just sit back and take in the view while the brews are being made.

We eventually return back very relaxed after an extremely enjoyable morning cruising the water ways of LBG while being flat out in neutral.

  1. Clever girl Emma….you know who to know! It’s not often you have company and coffee on your morning jaunt Paul….must have been extra enjoyable. I love the corridor of reflections….now I know a little more about Canberra. Have a great day. Jen

    • Hi Jenny,
I had such an enjoyable morning out on the water with Emma. I think that I have finally come across someone who takes more photos than me in a session and enjoyed the outing as much as me if not more. It was so nice to be able to share an experience like that. You will have to let me know when you are in Canberra next and we will organise a tour 🙂
