14 March 2014: There’s something unique about experiencing the blast of a burner from a hot air balloon as it floats metres away from the nose of your kayak. The balloons looked fantastic as they danced through our skies and drifted on the surface of LBG making it a beautiful morning to be out on the water. The balloon festival has been absolutely stunning and I going to miss it so much. Maybe next year it could run for the entire month, now that would be very cool in deed. I don’t think there would be too many objections from anyone at all. I hope you like the shots 🙂
What a spectacular start to Friday
Love the laser on the water from the burner
The Unicef balloon always loves getting down close to the water.
The Capital Chemist balloon was dodging the Ice Dragons crew.
What a great sight
Justin is the basket dragging champion.
Even the soccer ball was down on the water for a bit of action this morning as well.
I think that the Capital Chemist balloon has the largest drifting distance award for sure.
It was a very dreamy start to the day
Both the RAAF and the Santos balloon have spent plenty of time on the waters surface as well.
You would think that Canberra Milk would be a sponsor the Sky Whale
The festival has been huge
Drifting into another beautiful day
The pilots have put on a superb show every day. They are so talented!
A stunning sunrise to top it all off.
That was the best way to end the week.
What a great morning to be out on the water. That was gold!
