Cruising the Good Times In Melbourne

A winter getaway to Melbourne, Victoria was food for the soul with so many options on offer from historic laneways and byways filled with hip cafes and graffiti, to blockbuster sporting events such as the Champions League at the MCG. A leisurely drive to the famous Bells Beach and Torquay topped off a great winter escape.

Do yourself a favour and visit the St Kilda Sea baths. We only went there for a quick hour swim and left three and a half hours later. How could we leave the hydro therapy pool, sauna and warm salt water pools ! You maybe even lucky like us to meet the Bulldogs and Dockers as they go through their morning recovery session. Have to say I think Julie enjoyed this more that us 🙂

St Kilda sunrises are sensational!

Our accommodation was only one block back from St Kilda Pier which made it nice and easy to casual stroll down to the promenade to watch the day begin.

  1. Fantastic photos Paul. You captured the city very well. Loads more of course for your next visit! Back to Canberra- bet it’s freezing on the lake.
