17 April 2013: Out of the darkness and into the light is the perfect way to caption my paddle this morning. Autumn is certainly in the air with the temperature dropping to five degrees overnight. The combination of the clouds and the soft light framed the morning brilliantly and made for a mesmerising start to the day.

6.19am: A misty start at Lotus bay.

6.20am: At this point I had no idea that such a beautiful sunrise was going to take place.

6.24am

6.31am: The light show is just beginning

6.32am: Sunrise portal

6.34am: Now I am mesmerised

6.37am: The sunrise is being framed perfectly by the clouds.

6.39am

6.40am: We have ignition!

6.47am: Silhouette kayakers

6.58am: Hanging out with the crew catching a few morning rays.

7.07am: The transformation to a steely blue marble finish.
“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive– to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love” Marcus Aurelius

Yes, more absolutely gorgeous captures. Love those swifts/swallows watching the world go by! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Valerie, It was quite funny as we rounded the corner here they were all lined up catching the morning sun. It looked like it was a set from a movie.
