This is one session that will be etched in my mind for a long time. Total elegance and sheer beauty are the first words I would use to describe the swans. I decided to dedicate an entire blog post of the swan silhouettes from a Sunday morning paddle a few weeks ago. There are no captions, no time references, just the swans themselves. I hope you enjoy.

Absolutely stunning! May I ask what camera you use?
Thanks Valerie,
I am using a Canon D20 Powershot underwater camera. It seems to take a few nice shots. Very robust, small and easy to use….ideal for the kayak. I am looking to buy a DSLR or maybe a four – thirds camera like the OM-D E-M5 Weatherproof kit’ to compliment it. But I’m still saving up.
These pictures are incredibly beautiful. This must have been so lovely in person.
It so beautiful. I just floated away in awe and the swans had their signets with them as well. That morning is certainly etched in the memory bank for along time. The paddling and the photography is so relaxing, I always return back peaceful and calm.
These are so beautiful. All I could think was wow! wow! wow!…
Cheers Michelle, great minds think alike because I was thinking exactly the same thing at the time as well. Thanks for clicking onto the blog and commenting and I’m glad that you liked the shots 🙂
The swans in Canberra seem at lot less shy than those here on Lake Macquarie? Either that or they trust you and the red chilli immensely!
Ahhhh we are as one Nick… probably because they see us all the time and that we are just floating around with them and not trying to mow them down.
These photos are beautiful and make me homesick. We are travelling in a caravan so they keep me in touch withCanberra.
Hey Sue, Canberra is stunning at the moment. The Autumn colours are fantastic. Although it won’t be too long before we have our first frost. Enjoy your travels and hopefully you can still stay in touch via the website and the photos. Safe travels.
