Surreal Sunrise + Balloons = Unique Canberra Landscape.

May 9, 2013: Dancing mist on the water, balloons hovering overhead and a smooth sunrise was the perfect combination to start the day. The mist rolled in from the wetlands at 5.45am chasing me into the main basin. This gave Lake Burley Griffin a totally different persona and it wasn’t too long before the morning sun burnt through to reveal a beautiful autumn day here in Canberra.

6.40am: 19 minutes to go until to pops up.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing your glorious photos….I love them every day! They will make a beautiful coffee table book to help spread the joy. Cheers, Jen

    • Hi Jenny,
It has been one of the best autumns that I have experience in Canberra for a while. The mornings have been stunning!
Great minds think alike as I have been developing a landscape book that is 13 x 11”hard copy with a dust jacket. I have one last proof read /check (with my mentor) and I will be printing off a few test copies…….all very exciting 
I’m so glad that you like the shots.
