22 May 2013: WOW, this is a huge photo story today. The title for this morning’s paddle on Lake Burley Griffin definitely has to be WWF, the ”Wednesday WOW Factor”. I know that I keep saying it but what a transformation. The colours this morning were wild and I wasn’t the only one out there to enjoy it. The Australian girls junior sculls rowing team went through their paces on a chilly Canberra morning, the RAAF Balloon was hovering high in the sky and I was lucky enough to be paid a visit by the LBG pelicans. I just love starting my day like this!

At this point I know it is going to be a wonderful start to the day

The transformation begins

It amazing how the tones to west are always so soft.

It’s hard to pick which way you are going to look….what a dilemma!

I found myself just floating away waiting for the sun to pop up.

Moments before ignition

The Australian girls junior sculls rowing team were out on a crispy Canberra morning going through their paces.

They are so quick! Although I thought that I would give them a bit of a head start…. 🙂

Burning through the haze to put a bit of warmth on my face.

Totally hypnotised

The RAAF balloon hovering overhead

The Pelicans were heading over to say hello

Pelican Haze

What a great way to start the day. We were all off to a flying start.

Another gorgeous series of captures – that last shot is exquisite!
Thanks Valerie,
It was stunning out there once again. Although the temps are getting cooler with each morning. But you soon forget about cold when there is a sunrise like that happening.
Wonderful ….
Thanks Kate, I’m glad that you like the shots . It certainly was a wonderful way start to Wednesday. 🙂
