2 Feb 2014: I floated my into Sunday with a concoction of hovering balloons combined with a golden sunrise and served on top of mirrored waters. Thanks Canberra once again you served up my morning order perfectly.

This morning I floated my into Sunday with spectacular scenery.

6.05am: I knew ‘Foreshore’ (sorry couldn’t help myself then) that the morning was going to evolve into something special.

I had no idea that the balloons were only a few hundred metres away. I was totally immersed in a golden sunrise.

I was mesmerized by the light mist and golden tones.

I just sat back in awe thinking ….How good is this.

I know I say it a lot but….this is the reason why paddle on LBG as much as I can. Every sunrise is so unique.

Then from out of the bushes pops up the perfect partnership and I’m loving it.

The balloons are that close, that we are having a chat.

All you could hear was the intermittent blast of the burner.

There was total silence as the balloons floated overhead into a cloudless Canberra skyline.

A huge thanks goes to Richard Gillespie ‘The Balloon Guru’ for the perfect positioning of the ‘Service One’ and Daniel Gillespie piloting the ‘Goodwin’ for this shot….love your work. You are such a huge part of the Canberra landscape.

Well for me this morning got a huge thumbs up and definitely hit the spot. I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did. Have a great week……Paul 🙂
Well I certainly did! Thanks again and you have a great week too, Paul……Cheers from WA
What a morning that was Jenny. That was totally unexpected, but it just goes to show that you shot will always find you…. You just have to be out and about seeing what will take place.
Thanks and have a great week yourself
All the best
Paul.
