6 Sept 2014: Today’s sunset will be etched in my mind for a long time. I am continually awestruck by the beautiful sunsets that we are treated to here in Canberra. They are a constant reminder of how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful city. I’m so grateful to be able to experience and share these magical moments with you.
1 Sept 2014: Spring has started in sensational style and what a magic morning to be out on Lake Burley Griffin. Spring is always a spectacular season and it won’t be too long before Canberra is in full colour. I can’t wait!

25 Aug 2014: There was definitely a touch of magic in the sunrise this morning. It seems as though our glorious weekend’s weather has spilled over into Monday. The temperatures are starting to warm up and it won’t too long before the trees are bursting with colour. Spring is nearly here!
11 Aug 2014: What a howler of a way to start the working week. The super moon was just brilliant and the light southerly winds definitely had a bit of bite. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and this made for a very relaxed morning. It may have been cool, but it was still a classic way to see another day begin.

9 Aug 2014: It felt as though I was paddling in a living painting. Mother Nature mesmerised me this morning by beginning the day with gorgeous pastel pinks which slowly transitioned into soft sublime tones. It’s hard to believe that these beautiful conditions would result from subzero temperatures and heavy fog.

6 Aug 2014: What a hair raising sunrise in Canberra this morning. The chilling -6 degree temps continued creating an idyllic winter wonderland. Icicles were glistening everywhere, mist was dancing on the water and the atmosphere was serene. It was definitely worth getting out in these freezing temperatures to experience a morning like this.
28 July 2014: It all began with a hint of pink to the east and it quickly transformed into a stunning sunrise. This morning I was treated to yet again another gorgeous beginning. I hope that you enjoy the photo story of my peaceful paddle.
26 July 2014: The scenery was stark but beautiful in its own way. There is something mystical about leafless trees and drooping willow branches as they stand still against the heavy fog and reflect in the perfect glassy conditions. The crowds were thin this morning with only a few fellow paddlers on the water.Every now and then a splash of colour from a buoy would brighten up what was a rather grey morning. The sun tried its hardest to peek through the heavy clouds and a perfect arc of a rainbow ended what was a cold, bleak and rather drab day in the nation’s capital.

25 July 2014: Some would prefer to snuggle under the doona or sit by a fireside during the depths of winter but it is so worth experiencing the crisp, cool mornings and the soft winter tones that a Canberra morning has to offer. This morning was undeniably cold with fog shrouding the lake making it difficult to spot fellow paddlers. As expected the morning unfolded to reveal a crystal clear day and even the swans were out to welcome all that ventured out.
