24 July 2014: Mother Nature spoilt me on my birthday today with a gorgeous sunrise which was viewed from Mount Ainslie. My day was topped off with a glorious afternoon paddle on LBG. There wasn’t a ripple to be seen which allowed for perfect reflections to be captured. It doesn’t get any better than this!
23 July 2014: Often the most amazing places are right on your doorstep…. We just need to open the door. The day begun with gorgeous golden tones to the east and finished off with beautiful blue reflections to the west and I have to say “it just doesn’t get any better than that!”
18 July 2014: It’s always nice to come ‘home’ and reflect on the beautiful surrounds where I spent my youth. This was my playground as a child and I never cease to tire of walking Nobby’s Beach, The promenade around to Newcastle Beach past the Cowrie Hole and the famous Newcastle Ocean Baths. I always enjoy finishing off my morning with a coffee at Estabar Cafe, Newcastle Beach.
13 July 2014: This morning I was drawn towards a beautiful sunrise as I walked my way along Newcastle Breakwall. The waves that crashed over the wall left a patch of water towards the end which allowed me view the breakwalll from a totally different perspective. I true Newcastle fashion there was plenty of action as there were joggers, bike riders, walkers and fisherman out and about on a nippy Newcastle morning.

12 July 2014:The melodic tones of the crashing surf combined beautifully with a golden sunrise to make for a very relaxed start to the day. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the day begin from the picturesque Newcastle Ocean Baths this morning.
9 July 2014: It was a chilly paddle in the Red Chilli this morning. The day began with soft subtle tones to the west and the water was like a sheet of glass with light mist dancing on the surface. It didn’t take long for the day begin in stunning style and I was treated to many gorgeous crisp reflections. You know it’s cold when the water turns to ice on the hatch of your kayak. “A few days ago I walked along the edge of the lake and was treated to the crunch and rustle of leaves with each step I made. The acoustics of this season are different and all sounds, no matter how hushed, are as crisp as autumn air.” This quote by Eric Sloane sums up autumn in Canberra perfectly as it has been absolutely stunning this year. So beautiful, I decided to put a compilation of my favourite autumn experiences. I have been treated to many gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and even bedazzled by hot air balloons drifting on LBG during the balloon festival. Canberra has been amass with a wonderful spectrum of colours as we have transitioned from summer into winter. I hope that you enjoy my photostory of autumn.
6 June 2014: Marbled waters and fantastic cloud reflections made for a wonderful start on Lake Burley Griffin this morning. I love it when the conditions are super glassy and there is a terrific light show like this taking place. I hope that you like the shots…… Have a great weekend!
31 May 2014: This morning it felt like I was paddling in a scene from the ‘Lord of the Rings’. Lake Burley Griffin and the surrounding landscape were engulfed in fog that created a feeling of mystique.
Jump on board as we travel into another world
18 May 2014: I love feeling the sand between my toes and listening to waves methodically crash on the bank while a gorgeous sunrise is taking place. This was such a lovely way to begin the day, but then it was off to paddle and explore the beautiful Bumbo Creek. This creek is absolutely stunning and picture perfect as we paddled on super smooth mirrored waters for the entire 4hour duration. The wild life was superb and the reflections were out of this world. I hope that you enjoy the photostory from Tuross Head.
