12 Feb 2015: Early pink and mauve tones dressed the morning sky and transformed with stunning colour and cloud combinations. This Canberra lightshow was completed with vivid gold’s and blues leaving one in total awe. It felt like I was paddling in a living painting.

Beautiful Day in the Berra
7 Feb 2015: It was great to get back on the lake and sight familiar faces of fellow paddlers and view the ever picturesque scenery that the lake holds. It was back to work this week and settling into the new-year made for a busy week and didn’t allow me to go for my regular paddles on LBG. Summer was certainly present today and it finished off in style with huge shards of light beaming fanlike from behind the clouds.

17 Jan 2015: It was a classic coastal morning for friends who gathered together waiting to catch the sunrise. What a great start to the day with crystal clear skies, no clouds and beautiful colouring.
Moody Morning
16 Jan 2015: The sun rays beamed through the heavy clouds to create a moody atmosphere on Newcastle Harbour this morning. There was no sighting of the 5 metre White Pointer that has closed the Newcastle beaches for a consecutive seven days (Thank Goodness!) as I paddled my way towards the heads. The recent shark activity and unexpected dolphin mauling’s added a touch of suspense to my morning paddle.

Sunrise Stroll
15 Jan 2015: An early morning walk around Newcastle Beach always brings back wonderful memories of my childhood and youth. The walk from Nobby’s Beach up to the break wall and back along the promenade to Newcastle Beach is always picturesque and a coffee at Estabar, tops off yet another perfect summer morning.
