Brilliance and Balloons

22 Jan 2015: Dramatic and dynamic skies made for a wonderful morning on Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra. Initially it appeared that it was going to be a lack lustre sunrise as there was a bank of heavy cloud sitting low on the horizon. It didn’t take long for the clouds to break and begin to disperse which allowed the sun to back light the clouds from behind, creating a few nice formations. The continental Asia Cup balloons and the Questacon balloon were an added bonus to the morning skyscape. The Asian Cup games have been a real spectacle and good luck to the Australian Team for tonight’s match against China.

Moody Morning

16 Jan 2015: The sun rays beamed through the heavy clouds to create a moody atmosphere on Newcastle Harbour this morning. There was no sighting of the 5 metre White Pointer that has closed the Newcastle beaches for a consecutive seven days (Thank Goodness!) as I paddled my way towards the heads. The recent shark activity and unexpected dolphin mauling’s added a touch of suspense to my morning paddle.    IMG_5326_2
