Lake Burley Griffin is a national landmark that has provided it’s locals and visitors with so many memorable moments over the past 50 years. It’s has been a privilege to be able to witness and photograph the kaleidoscope of colours and seasonal features that Lake Burley Griffin offers me each day as a backdrop.
What I love about photography and paddling is that it provides me with an incredibly calm headspace. It is my meditation. No two days are the same, and each day provides me with a natural light show that sometimes leaves me gasping in wonder. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I have enjoyed capturing these moments.
30 Sept 2014: There is no need to hibernate with winter over and spring in full swing. We have been fortunate to have glorious weather over the long weekend and it is forecast to continue into the working week. The new Kingston foreshore is proving to be a popular place to be and is a buzz with people enjoying the sunshine and the array of restaurants on offer. After a long paddle I headed to ‘Local Press’ who impressed me with their unique organic brunch menu including cold pressed juices and organic coffee.
28 Sept 2014: It felt like I was paddling in a Turner painting. This was such an amazing experience that will be etched in my mind for ever. I hope you enjoy the photos.
26 Sept 2014: What a magic morning out on Lake Burley Griffin. We had crystal blue skies, hovering mist, super glassy waters and to top it all off the Questacon balloon launched amongst a golden sunrise and drifted off into a gorgeous Canberra morning.
Canberra you have done it again!

7 Sept 2014: What a perfect start to fathers day. I had the entire lake to myself as I paddled amongst vivid glassy reflections on LBG. Who needs a present when one can have an experience such as this.
1 Sept 2014: Spring has started in sensational style and what a magic morning to be out on Lake Burley Griffin. Spring is always a spectacular season and it won’t be too long before Canberra is in full colour. I can’t wait!
Robin Williams quote sums it up perfectly “Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s party!”
24 Aug 2014: The reflections on LBG were brilliant, we had hovering balloons and all three basins were super glassy. What a magnificent way to start the day.
8 Aug 2014: You would be ranting & raving if you were anywhere else in the world; luckily for me this is in my front yard. I had such a beautiful beginning on Lake Burley Griffin this morning chasing gorgeous golden rays. I hope you had an excellent day and that you have a great weekend…Enjoy!
