1 September 2013: Golden sunrises, dreamy misty fingers of golden rays, hovering balloons, silhouette swans, crazed reflections and pelicans all made for a delightful start to spring this morning. 31 August 2013: That was one of the most mind blowing gorgeous, stunning, brilliant, vivid, amazing, glorious, fantastic (and as many other great words you can use) sunrise. Super wow, mega wow come close to describing the impact that had on me. I am truly blessed to be able to experience something like this. My Canon PowerShot D20 was working overtime this morning capturing a superb send off to winter. I hope you enjoy the shots from this morning as much I do.
29 August 2013: Every day has its own unique signature and this morning’s creation was truly sublime. What a stunning pastel dawn it was this morning. 28 August 2013: There were huge smiles from everyone as it was a glorious spring like morning. There were plenty of people out and about enjoying the superb conditions. Kayakers were out there slicing through the mist, people were whizzing by on bikes hands waving in the air, loads of walkers and joggers were happily chatting and saying hello. The scull population has dramatically increased over the past fortnight as they were shooting all over the place. Spring is definitely on its way and I can’t wait to see Canberra burst into colour. I hope you get the chance to get outside today and enjoy it.
5.55am: What a beautiful start to the day.
22 August 2013: I was totally blown away this morning. Who would have thought that a vivid and gorgeous sunrise could take place on such a blustery and miserable morning? I was on the water for 6am and I decided to drift my way up the Molonglo River with dark and heavy clouds brooding overhead. Then it was as if someone opened the hidden treasure box. The light show was brilliant, intense and lasted for about 10 minutes. My pocket rocket ‘Canon PowerShot D20’ was working over time as I truly didn’t expect to be treated to anything like this at all. The beautiful colours were quickly extinguished and it wasn’t long before I was paddling amongst light drizzle. Totally amazing; it just goes to show you, you never know what you will experience until you get out there and have a go.
The skies were angry this morning!
It sure was a cold and turbulent morning out there with the wind slicing straight through you. I decided to seek the protection of the wetlands with my aim to capture a small amount of beauty on an otherwise bleak start to the day. It certainly is a day to rug up in your thermals and uggies.

17 August 2013: I consider myself one lucky man to be able to witness something so beautiful. This mornings transformation was absolutely sublime, natures colour palate is unmatchable and the pattern configurations that were created by mirrored waters made it such a peaceful way to start the day. 7 August 2013: It was so nice to be back out on the water and take in a liquid gold sunrise. There was lots of activity on and about the lake this morning as plenty of people were enjoying the calm conditions after the last few turbulent days of weather. There is a cold change forecasted for tomorrow so hopefully I’ll be able to snap shot a few icicles. I hope you enjoy the todays sunrises.
What a wonderful winter it’s been. The thing I love the most about winter is that it produces the most amazing conditions with each morning having its own unique signature. One morning its crystal clear and the Red Chilli is slicing its way through glassy waters. The next morning it’s thick as pea soup and you can’t see five metres in front of you.
