Click the link to see the 8 minute feature to see a few people (me included) who have a deep connection Lake Burley Griffin. It is beautiful feature article by Adrienne Francis and brilliantly shot by Mark Moore. Yet again nothing but quality from the ABC730ACT.

Lake Burley Griffin is a national landmark that has provided it’s locals and visitors with so many memorable moments over the past 50 years. It’s has been a privilege to be able to witness and photograph the kaleidoscope of colours and seasonal features that Lake Burley Griffin offers me each day as a backdrop.
What I love about photography and paddling is that it provides me with an incredibly calm headspace. It is my meditation. No two days are the same, and each day provides me with a natural light show that sometimes leaves me gasping in wonder. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I have enjoyed capturing these moments.
I’m so excited to announce that my photographs of Canberra are available for sale from the Shop Handmade Canberra.
Huge thanks to Rachel & Julie.
2 Oct 2014:I leisurely wandered amongst a kaleidoscope of colour under an umbrella of beautiful blue sky at Floriade today. It sure was a stunning Canberra day and the warm spring conditions made for an extremely enjoyable experience. There is plenty to see and do at Floriade so treat yourself to a stroll amongst the tulips and make the most of this glorious spring weather.
2 Oct 2014: It really can’t get much better than this. The conditions on Lake Burley Griffin were sheer perfection this morning with crystal clear skies, smooth glassy water and mild temperatures. A perfect day to get out and enjoy the school holidays with Floriade in full bloom.
28 Sept 2014: It felt like I was paddling in a Turner painting. This was such an amazing experience that will be etched in my mind for ever. I hope you enjoy the photos.
25 Sept 2014: What a great sky in Canberra tonight. I had my head in the clouds all afternoon and what an excellent place to be.
*Tonight I, along with other members of Human Brochure and the media, was treated to a preview of Floriade’s Nightfest, which begins tomorrow (Wednesday) night and runs until Sunday, 28 September.
It’s hard to put the experience into words – and the photos don’t really do it justice. Here goes:
For those who are wondering – yep, the tulips are out!
We’re first greeted with seas of tulips bathed in changing colours. It’s hard to tell what colour they actually are!
I said sea, right? I meant it.
The flowers are stunning, but Nightfest wouldn’t be Nightfest without doing something pretty damn special. And that’s this.

It’s Alice in Wonderland-esque. Stunning flowers light up in time to the music as we walk through thick fog – genuinely mesmerising. Each enormous flower is slightly different, and the colour show is so varied – after standing there 15 minutes I can’t…

24 Sept 2014: Everyday I’m treated to a new discovery. This morning I was drenched in golden mist as I leisurely paddled my way on the Molonglo River. Spring has been truly sensational so far and I am loving every minute of it. I hope you get the chance to enjoy a gorgeous morning in Canberra before the predicted change arrives later in the day.
