2 Feb 2014: I floated my into Sunday with a concoction of hovering balloons combined with a golden sunrise and served on top of mirrored waters. Thanks Canberra once again you served up my morning order perfectly.
1 Feb 2014: This morning I drifted into a gorgeous golden sunrise with Emma Macdonald in ‘The Big Bopper’ my double Kayak on Lake Burley Griffin. There wasn’t any need for speed at all as the conditions were near perfect. The temperature was spot on and the winds were non existent, these combinations made for a very enjoyable experience watching the day begin. I think that our highest warp speed was a blistering 500 metres per hour and to top it all off we were treated to a pier side coffee delivery from from Remedy which is located at the Kingston foreshore. The company was fantastic and the sunrise was brilliant…what a perfect way to start the day.
30 Jan 2014: It started out as such a peaceful paddle this morning, the winds were light and the temperature was perfect. Then the morning transformation started to take place with soft pastels gradually lighting up the morning skies and finished off with a electric finale. Canberra you’ve done it again!
29 Jan 2014: Wilds skies formed over Canberra this evening to provide us with a gorgeous afternoon transition that lasted for ages. I just love this time of year, the temps are warm the skies are full of colour and the conditions are brilliant.
27 Jan 2014: Golden light flooded the morning skies to make it a very enjoyable start on Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra this morning. Yet again the conditions were superb with light winds, crystal clear skies and a golden sunrise to top it all off. It is going to be a fantastic day to finish a wonderful Australia day weekend, I hope that you have a great day…Enjoy.
26 Jan 2014: It was a golden start to what is sure to be a wonderful Australia Day. There are so many fantastic things happening all over Australia today especially here in the nations capital, Canberra. I hope that you will get the chance to enjoy the festivities with your family and friends.
22 Jan 2014: Last night I captured a few silhouettes of my two boys having an expression session on the trampoline. They certainly had a great time bouncing around despite my heart being in my mouth especially when Finn (middle boy) gets such big air. But in saying that the boys had a great time……Hahahahha and I can remember the days when I could bust a few of those moves myself!
It was meant to be a football (soccer) trip but it very quickly transformed into an awesome experience that I will remember for a life time.
18 Jan 2014: It’s hard to capture a shot in the dark while sitting in a kayak and shooting free hand, but I’m not one to give up and this morning I seemed to be able to have a bit of success. I was on the water super early as the winds were light, the temp was cool and I was hoping to snare a few nice light reflections. Hope you have a great weekend, I think today is going to be another hot one here in Canberra…..hope you can escape the heat.
Tonight is the opening of ‘The People of the Postcard’ exhibit. I could only enter 10 shots in the exhibition so I have loaded the remainder of the shots for you to have a look. These are a few portraits from a recent trip to China in September of last year. This was one amazing experience. I hope that you like the shots.
The exhibition is on display at the Hue Davis Gallery, Manuka Arts Centre, Canberra from the 16 Jan to 2 Feb.
