7 March 2013: I’ve have been watching the sunset build all afternoon and when the time arrived for it to turn on the afternoon light show, it didn’t disappoint. I wasn’t able to get out on the lake this afternoon, so the shots will be ‘Red Chilli’ nose free. Needless to say, dinner was delayed again!

Thursday Morning Cruise
7 March 2013: Crystal clear skies and light winds made for a very relaxing paddle on LBG this morning. I was out there for an early start so I had plenty of time to take in the pre-dawn glow from the East Basin, cruise past the Carillon into the Main Basin to see the soft tones and then I sat back and took in another stunning light show.

Mixed bag of WOW!
6 March 2013: What a WOW of a morning!
What an unbelievable morning on LBG. It had it all, predawn mist floating on the surface, lights reflecting from our landmarks, silhouettes, golden tones, pastels to the west and then to finish off I was treated to a balloon bonanza.The odd thing is that this happens more often than not…..The judges have given ten out of ten this morning for LBG!

Pink Sunrises
Pink sunrises; they’re few and far between but I have been lucky enough to experience a few while paddling Lake Burley Griffin.
It certainly had the WOW factor that morning!
The natural light show was amazing
The dark before the dawn: the beginning of a great obsession!
As part of the blog writing course that I am currently undertaking, I must write a review. So I thought I would review Lake Burley Griffin; what started me paddling; and the head space that it provides me on a daily basis.
Last August I was in the third stage of an intensive three month blast of chemotherapy.

I thought it couldn’t get any better!
Over the last few weeks I have been blown away by the light show that LBG (Lake Burley Griffin) has put on.
Each day I thought that there is no way that it could get any better……but the lake keeps proving me wrong.
