12 July 2014:The melodic tones of the crashing surf combined beautifully with a golden sunrise to make for a very relaxed start to the day. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the day begin from the picturesque Newcastle Ocean Baths this morning.
5 July 2014: Despite the chilly conditions the soft soothing hues and brilliant reflections on LBG made for a pleasant paddle. The glow of the sunrise shone through the belt of aubergine snow clouds that hovered low over the Canberra basin.
22 June 2014: The temps may have been crisp, but it was definitely a very peaceful paddle into the wetlands this morning. I hope you enjoyed the trip.
All the signs indicated that it was going to be a beautiful start to the day.
21 June 2014: It was a mystical paddle on Lake Burley Griffin this morning as the fog rolled in from the east basin continually changing the scenery. The water was super glassy and the sun was trying its best to burn through to lighten up the day. Just when it seemed that the blanket of fog was about lift, in rolled another wave. This made for a wonderful winter’s paddle.
7.06am: The fog seemed to be clearing
“A few days ago I walked along the edge of the lake and was treated to the crunch and rustle of leaves with each step I made. The acoustics of this season are different and all sounds, no matter how hushed, are as crisp as autumn air.” This quote by Eric Sloane sums up autumn in Canberra perfectly as it has been absolutely stunning this year. So beautiful, I decided to put a compilation of my favourite autumn experiences. I have been treated to many gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and even bedazzled by hot air balloons drifting on LBG during the balloon festival. Canberra has been amass with a wonderful spectrum of colours as we have transitioned from summer into winter. I hope that you enjoy my photostory of autumn.
8 June 2014: There was a definite feel of winter this morning with -2 degree temps with very cool reflections. Calm glassy water, mist hovering around me and a beautiful soft golden glow made for a serene paddle on LBG. I hope that you enjoy the photostory.
24 May 2014: This morning I was drawn into a wonderful creation that left me wanting more. The amazing cloud formations were highlighted by gorgeous hues to produce a stunning work of art. It’s so hard to describe what it was like out there this morning but hopefully the photos will do it justice.
18 May 2014: I love feeling the sand between my toes and listening to waves methodically crash on the bank while a gorgeous sunrise is taking place. This was such a lovely way to begin the day, but then it was off to paddle and explore the beautiful Bumbo Creek. This creek is absolutely stunning and picture perfect as we paddled on super smooth mirrored waters for the entire 4hour duration. The wild life was superb and the reflections were out of this world. What new discoveries will be experienced today
17 May 2014: Mother Nature created a stunning piece of artwork by start the morning with a array of vivid pink colours and completed her masterpiece with gorgeous golden tones. What a stunning exhibition that was, I hope you enjoy the photostory.
1 May 2014: It was classic Canberra this morning with crystal clear skies, there was light mist hovering amongst the hills and our gorgeous autumn colours were truly spectacular. That was a very pretty and peaceful paddle indeed.
