14 July 2013:
Fog Me!
July 2013: It was like pea soup out there this morning with the visibility getting down to a few metres. Lucky I know my way around or you could find yourself going round in circles. You have to have you wits about you when the conditions are like this, as you have to be extremely aware of the sculls. They row 10 deep from the embankment and move with lighting speed. The last thing you want to do is be T-boned by a scud scull that suddenly appears from the fog.
Mooo-ving amongst the mist
11 July 2013: I was totally moooved by this morning’s misty conditions. I certainly love how a heavy fog can cast a different perspective on things.
Mirror Sunset
10 July 2013: This afternoon I was treated to an afternoon of mirrored waters and a stunning sunset. It so nice to be able to catch a sunset for once and Nina a good friend of mind summed it up perfectly, “Blurred lines between sunrise and sunset. Between morning and night. The start of a new day or the end of a day already lived. They almost look the same. You’ve captured both in this one shot with the whole day hovering somewhere in between. Fantastic!”

My Morning Meditation
8 July 2013: I know that I keep saying it, but there it truly no better way to start the day. It’s amazing how you become immersed in natures natural light show. It provides me best headspace and I always return back so calm and at peace. I hope you like this morning’s photos.

Simply Stunning
30 June 2013: Simply Stunning is the only way I can descried my experience on Lake Burley Griffin this morning. Everything was perfect from the moment I set out, the misty pre-dawn soft tones developed into a stunning morning. I know I keep saying it, but this was such beautiful transition. I’m not going to caption anything, instead I would like you to enjoy the photo story that I have put together from this morning’s lovely light show. I’m such a lucky person to be able to experience something so beautiful.
Steely Blue Saturday
29 June 2013: The overcast conditions and drizzly rain couldn’t put a dampener on my morning paddle. Instead it created many amazing steel blue reflections as the sun was trying its best to break through the low heavy clouds. It certainly had an alpine feel about it out there this morning.

Floating into Friday
28 June 2013: Marbled skies and calm conditions made for the perfect end to a busy week. At times I had the entire lake to myself so I just floated away care free and enjoyed the reflections. I hope that you have a great weekend and that you like the shots.

Fav shots from the last 12 Months
This morning I have selected a few of my favourite shots (33) that showcase how wonderful the past year has been.Today is quite a significant day for me as it is marks 12 months since the Lake View blog commenced with the Canberra Times. This morning I have selected a few of my favourite shots that showcase how wonderful the past year has been. No two days are the same, and each day provides me with a natural light show that sometimes leaves me gasping in wonder. What I love about photography and paddling is that it provides me with an incredibly calm headspace.
I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I have enjoyed capturing these moments.
