9 April 2013: I don’t want to start each blog with, beautiful, stunning, serene, amazing and the words alike, but that’s what’s the what it’s been like each morning so far. Each day I am treated to soft misty tones that burn off to reveal a brilliant autumn day and if the forecast is correct, it’s going to remain like this for a few more days. If this is ground hog day; well I’m loving it!
Misty Monday Morning Marvel
8 April 2013: What a magical Monday morning. I don’t think that there is any better way to start the day. I was totally blown away this morning and just when you thought it could get any better. It’s funny, I keep saying to myself “this has been the best morning so far “and then you experience some like this. How lucky are we to have this on our door step.

Mist + calm + reflections = WOW
7 April 2013: This morning LBG created the illusion that I was somewhere else in the world or even in a fictional movie. The misty autumn conditions are just leaving wanting more and more. I never tire of the scenery especially when the conditions produce such stunning imagery

An Awesome Autumn Morning
6 April 2013: Balloons were floating overhead, scull’s were flying by, kayakers were cruising the water ways and plenty of walkers /joggers were treated to an awesome autumn morning on Lake Burley Griffin. Mystical soft tones set the scene ,dull skies turned red to orange, then the morning clouds combined with the sun and turned the skies into a painters palate.
They could be called the Magic Mountains
Easter Weekend: How good are our Snowy Mountains. I have just spent four days, body surfing down rapids, being chair lifted to great heights, walking alpine tracks, hanging out with my head in the clouds on Mt Kosciusko and being treated to a new paddling experience on Lake Jindabyne each day. What a blast!
We decided to head up into the Snowy Mountains rather than head to the coast as we usually do. We had the opportunity to stay at the Lake Crackenback Resort and what a winner that was. We had the best time, so much to do, so much to see and a weekend of perfect weather just topped it all off. What a brilliant summer destination and I could only imagine how picturesque it must be during winter. This resort is so close to the ski tube as well. We ski all the time during winter but this was our first time to the resort and it certainly won’t be our last. We will definitely be checking in for a stay during the ski season and I can’t wait to see what snap shots I will be able to snare with snow capped mountains in the back ground.

Sunrise addiction
27 March 2013: This morning I decided to paddle up the Molonglo River to take in another sunrise and what a great decision it was. The transition from pre dawn to full sun up was beautiful, the water was glassy and the mist just topped it all off. I think that I am well and truly addicted to sunrises, but hey what an addiction to have!
MEGA WOW
25 March 2013: What a sunset, what a afternoon, I was going to use WOW again but I have already used it soooooo many times previously that I am in fear of wearing it out. So tonight sunset can only be described as MEGA WOW!
Lake Burley Griffin and the Canberra skies never cease to amaze me. Yet again I have witnessed another jaw dropping display. It’s natures sky fire!
Velvet wrapped sledge hammer
24 March 2013: If you were anywhere else in the world you would be raving out it for months! This morning’s setting was so soft and gentle but yet so powerful. Lake Burley Griffin never ceases to amaze me, it just keeps bowling me over and leaves me wanting more. It’s amazing how you can paddle the same place every day and be treated to a totally new experience each time.

It’s simply brilliant because it’s brilliantly simple
23 March 2013: Tony Cane-Honeysett saying “It’s simply brilliant because it’s brilliantly simple” summed up this mornings paddle on Lake Burely Griffin.
Cruising with the captain
21 March 2013: What a brilliant morning!
The conditions were so good that I decided to take my four year old ‘Captain Nemo’ out for a float on the lake in my double sea kayak ‘The Big Bopper’. The conditions we perfect, excellent, wonderful and any other words that you can use to describe what it was like being out there. I hope you were lucky enough to be out and about this morning to experience it.
