Mesmerised

6 Nov 2013: I was totally mesmerised by the mist this morning. There wasn’t any need for speed at all so I decided to kick back and float my through a magnificent misty morning. The crew from the ‘Burley Griffin Canoe Club’ or I should call them the ‘Mist Busters’ were going through their paces and blasted past me as usual. It shaping up to be a fantastic day, so I hope you get the chance to get outside today and enjoy.

Fantastic Farewell

5 OCT 2013:  We leave Coffs Harbour not crying because its over, but smiling because it happened. This place is pure magic! It was only fitting that I experienced another stunning sunrise to farewell our fantastic week at Coffs Harbour. This week has been a sunrise bonanza, each morning has treated me to something totally different yet mind blowing beautiful. Today we pack up camp and slowly migrate our home over the next few days. Farewell Coffs Harbour, thanks for the great time…see you again for sure!

Subtle Beauty

3 OCT 2013: Sheer beauty and elegance would be the best way to describe this morning’s sunrise. It was such a subtle transformation with the predawn orange tones changing to pastel pinks, then finishing off with a striking sun burning in the horizons haze. I hope you enjoy the shots from Bonville creek, Sawtell.

4.48am and I'm greeted with orange tones to the east as I round the corner.

Sublime Sunrise

1 Oct 2013: Unbelievably beautiful, stunning, magical, brilliant, perfect, magnificent and as many other describing words that I could use to caption this mornings sunrise here at Coffs Harbour. We are up here for the week to watch my middle boy Finn play in the National soccer tournament (he is a goal keeper) and thanks to him I have been able to witness this a truly spectacular sunrise. I was absolutely gob smacked; I hope you like the shots as much as I enjoyed capturing / experiencing them.

I was on the water for 4.45am and I was being treated to a magnificent sunrise already.

Super calm conditions made for a very cruisy start.

True Magic

26 Sept 2013: True magic is the only way to describe my paddle on LBG this morning. I can rant and rave about how beautiful it was or how I drifted on a massive sheet of glass that was the entire main basin and experienced a truly stunning sunrise. I had the water to myself for ages and the mirror reflections were glorious and many times throughout my two hour paddle it felt like I was floating on the clouds.  Anyway enough of the chatter, I’ll let the photos tell the story. I hope that you enjoy the shots.

Wow is the word of the morning

Soothing Sunday

22 Sept 2013: I’m not going to rant and rave how stunning it was or how the water soooooo perfect that you couldn’t tell which way was really up and how the morning transformation took me on a visual journey that was so soothing. I’ll let the photostory do exactly that.

5.23am: Even when I arrived it had all the marking of a great morning
