Total elegance and sheer beauty.

This is one session that will be etched in my mind for a long time. Total elegance and sheer beauty are the first words I would use to describe the swans. I decided to dedicate an entire blog post of the swan silhouettes from a Sunday morning paddle a few weeks ago. There are no captions, no time references, just the swans themselves. I hope you enjoy.

Cruising the waterways of Tuross Head

April 2013: I headed down to Tuross Head with three of my mates for a boy’s weekend away. We arrived to massive seas, rainy conditions and a huge southerly that was gusting up to 50 Km’s. These inclement conditions would normally drive most people indoors for the afternoon, but for us, we just put on a rain jacket and went in search for area’s that were protected from these gusty conditions. Tuross head and its surrounding areas are the perfect place as there is  a multitude of meandering waterways to suits any scenario. So in true style we dived head first into our boy’s weekend away. I hope you like the photo story.

High winds and rainy conditions does not deter us!

A Mesmerising Morning

17 April 2013: Out of the darkness and into the light is the perfect way to caption my paddle this morning. Autumn is certainly in the air with the temperature dropping to five degrees overnight. The combination of the clouds and the soft light framed the morning brilliantly and made for  a mesmerising start to the day.

6.19am: A misty start at Lotus bay.

Chillaxing all the way but our senses were on fire!

13 April 2013: We had it all this morning, fire red autumn leaves reflecting on glassy water, misty silhouettes, dragon boats, laser sunrises and crystal blue skies. But in true style we just sat back and chillaxed our way through the entire morning, taking it all in and making sure that we didn’t miss a thing. There may have been a chill in the air but the senses were definitely on fire this morning. Yet again I have been treated to an awesome autumn display on Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra.

Misty start to the morning once again.

Loving this Ground Hog Day

9 April 2013: I don’t want to start each blog with, beautiful, stunning, serene, amazing and the words alike, but that’s what’s the what it’s been like each morning so far. Each day I am treated to soft misty tones that burn off to reveal a brilliant autumn day and if the forecast is correct, it’s going to remain like this for a few more days. If this is ground hog day; well I’m loving it!

Misty Monday Morning Marvel

8 April 2013: What a magical Monday morning. I don’t think that there is any better way to start the day. I was totally blown away this morning and just when you thought it could get any better. It’s funny, I keep saying to myself “this has been the best morning so far “and then you experience some like this. How lucky are we to have this on our door step.

I love a misty start to the day.

Mist + calm + reflections = WOW

7 April 2013: This morning LBG created the illusion that I was somewhere else in the world or even in a fictional movie. The misty autumn conditions are just leaving wanting more and more. I never tire of the scenery especially when the conditions produce such stunning imagery

They could be called the Magic Mountains

Easter Weekend: How good are our Snowy Mountains. I have just spent four days, body surfing down rapids, being chair lifted to great heights, walking alpine tracks, hanging out with my head in the clouds on Mt Kosciusko and being treated to a new paddling experience on Lake Jindabyne each day.  What a blast!

We decided to head up into the Snowy Mountains rather than head to the coast as we usually do. We had the opportunity to stay at the Lake Crackenback Resort and what a winner that was. We had the best time, so much to do, so much to see and a weekend of perfect weather just topped it all off. What a brilliant summer destination and I could only imagine how picturesque it must be during winter. This resort is so close to the ski tube as well. We ski all the time during winter but this was our first time to the resort and it certainly won’t be our last. We will definitely be checking in for a stay during the ski season and I can’t wait to see what snap shots I will be able to snare with snow capped mountains in the back ground.

They could have been called the magic mountain instead.
